Some resorts get lucky once. Others disappear as quickly as they arrive. But Royal Davui? We’ve now made it into the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards for the third year in a row. 2022, 2023, and now 2024 – consistency looks good on us.
This year, we landed at #15 Best Resort in Australia & the South Pacific. Not quite the top spot, but let’s be honest: when you’re a tiny adults-only Fiji resort with just 16 villas, beating out the big players year after year is the real victory.

It’s not because we’ve got more restaurants than you can count on two hands, or pool bars shaped like cruise ships. It’s because of the things that actually matter:

Bronze, Top Three, Sweet Fifteen
In 2022 we cracked the Top 10. In 2023 we took bronze at #3. In 2024, we’ve slid into #15. Do we mind? Not really. Awards go up, awards go down what matters is that readers keep us in the conversation. And after all, when you’re an exclusive Fiji resort sitting on its own private island, there are worse problems than not taking gold every year.
What We Really Celebrate
At the end of the day, the numbers are nice, but the real win is every couple who walks off our boat saying they feel more connected, more rested, and more in love than when they arrived. That’s why we’ll keep doing what we do best – staying small, staying genuine, and letting Fiji do the heavy lifting.
So here’s to year three, to the readers who keep voting for us, and to proving that adults-only luxury in Fiji doesn’t need to shout to be noticed. Sometimes, all it takes is a little island with a lot of heart.
