Don’t take our word for it. Here is what our visitors have to say:
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and it was perfect for the occasion! There are only 16 villas on the whole island, so it often felt like we had the place to ourselves. Delicious food, excellent snorkelling right off the beach any time you want, wonderful hospitality, beautiful villas, relaxing spa...you won't ever want to leave!
Royal Davui is an island of pure relaxation. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed, we were treated as if we were the only people on the island. Being welcomed by the owner, the managers and the magnificent voices of the Fijian staff, we were escorted to the same villa we stayed in 10yrs previously. And it didn't disappoint at all. The villas are simply luxurious, completely private and beautifully maintained. The food was wonderful, we had some dietary requirements which the chef was only too happy to accommodate. There was no shortage of activities or you can just lazing about on the beach or by the pool all day long. We will be returning to Royal Davui as often as we can. A truly wonderful, warm, welcoming and magnificent island.
I am quite the fusspot when it comes to resorts - everything has to be perfect. And everything was! From the warmth of the staff to the villa, to the ever-changing menu and choice of food - it really was a five-star holiday. I would recommend Royal Davui to anyone looking for privacy and a beautiful retreat to relax with someone special. The managers Ron and Margaret were warm, welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble.
I came here on my honeymoon.. We stayed in villa 9. We had our own private beach section, snorkelled, kayacked, swam, enjoyed the beautiful weather and the food was absolutely amazing here! It is worth every dollar we spent! Wonderful staff and such happy and friendly environment! If you want the relaxing holiday of a lifetime, Davui is for you! We also managed to go white water rafting which was AMAZING! We went on a buggy and rainforest tour which were both experiences of a lifetime! Worried about spending those holiday savings? You won't be disappointed here!
We only had 2 nights/2 days at Royal Davui, but there are not words.... The rooms are unbelievably beautiful. Food is incredible! Every meal is amazing and such incredible care are taken even with breakfast and lunch. We snorkeled and swam the entire reef which is TEEMING with corals and incredible fish, many of which we have not seen before, along with detailed shallows and great gorges to explore. We LOVED the infinity edge plunge pool (on the deck of each entirely private stand-alone "bure") which can be warmed (ASK FOR THIS!). We had rain on our second day which only added to the wonder of the place - we snorkeled with even more fish in the gentle warm rain, then ran up to soak in our warm plunge pool as we gazed out at the ocean, birds, and infinity. Staff are all warm, friendly and wonderful!
I spent a lot of time researching which Fiji island to visit for a holiday for myself and my husband. We were looking for a child-free option that would be a special experience. On arrival, we were greeted by the Australian managers, Kathy and John. We were serenaded by the Fijian staff while we checked in. All the Fijian staff members we dealt with were very warm and friendly. A number of them greet you by name and can’t do enough to assist. Everyone we had contact with (wait staff, gardeners, reception, housekeeping, marine centre guys, spa ladies etc) were genuinely friendly and polite. We had a really relaxing time on Davui, and 7 nights was enough time to recharge. We did meet other couples who had returned for a second visit. If you are looking for a holiday location that offers privacy, good food and relaxation, then Davui ticks all the boxes. It was a really positive holiday experience and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to switch off from the world in a lush, tropical environment.
Royal Davui Island Resort is absolutely amazing!!! We stayed for a week in June 2017 and it was extremely hard to leave. We have a new "Family" in this piece of paradise!!! We arrived on the Island by helicopter transfer and that was a great choice. It takes about 30 minutes from the domestic terminal at Nadi airport to fly over to the resort and well worth it, for the views of the main island and then the crystal clear water and reefs. We landed on a small area on the island and are greeted by Margaret and Ron (Managers of the Resort) and its from that moment, You know that everything is going to be special. We are greeted by a number of staff with a welcoming song and their smiles become infectious because we did not stop smiling the whole week. We stayed in Villa 12, which in on the other side of the island (about a 5 minute walk). AND TALK ABOUT A VILLA WITH A VIEW, WOW, WOW, AND WOW!!!!!!!! There is a king size bed with a welcoming message on the bed done in leaves and flowers, hibiscus flowers scattered throughout the villa adds that special island touch.
What can I say this place is pretty hard to beat for relaxation it's everything you want on an island and more the rooms are spacious and the view of the sun coming up and going down in the evening can be pretty spectacular. The food is of high standard and the staff can't do enough for you. The activities are there if you want to use them I do recommend the snorkelling the marine life is pretty spectacular and the day trips to the local villages is a must to see traditional Fiji way of life
We spent a week here and it was unforgettable! The Fijian people are so wonderful and welcoming. The suits are beautiful, impeccable and very tropical - there are only 16 suites on the whole island so it makes for a very cozy stay. There are a lot of activities to do and they will transport you by boat to the main island if you need to go there. Definitely request to have the picnic on the sandbar when it's low tide - it's surreal!
