FIJI DIVING MEETS LUXURY

Fiji diving takes on new meaning at Royal Davui. From our private island retreat, you’re minutes from Beqa Lagoon’s world-famous shark dive and coral gardens alive with soft corals and tropical fish. It’s a location that places you at the centre of Fiji’s most celebrated diving, yet every adventure is framed by the ease and privacy of a boutique resort.

Surface from the reef and step back into a world of luxury — perhaps a cocktail by the pool, a treatment in the spa, or the seclusion of your private villa
overlooking the lagoon. This balance of ocean adventure and island indulgence is what sets Royal Davui apart from larger resorts.

Each dive trip is deliberately intimate, with a maximum of six guests, creating an unhurried rhythm in the water and the freedom to explore without crowds. At Royal Davui, the thrill of Fiji scuba diving is always matched by the rare luxury of returning to a resort designed for privacy and romance.

Yes. Fiji is a year‑round dive destination, with something to see every day of the year in Beqa Lagoon and the surrounding reefs.

A guided dive with specialist operators where certified divers can encounter bull, reef, and sometimes tiger sharks in their natural environment. We arrange the logistics and timing; you enjoy the experience and return to the island with zero hassle.

We keep it deliberately intimate — a maximum of six divers per trip with Royal Davui. (The Beqa shark dive itself is operated in conjunction with an external operator and may have larger groups in the water.)

All boat dives at Royal Davui require certification. Beginners who want to try scuba can start with a Discover Scuba course, and we also offer PADI Open Water and Advanced training tailored to your stay.

Expect 27–29°C water (81–84°F) with visibility often 20–30+ metres, especially in Beqa Lagoon. With so many dive sites to choose from, we can always select a calm, suitable location — from gentle coral gardens to walls and pinnacles.

No, you don’t need to bring your own. We provide and prepare all the necessary gear for you, though you’re welcome to bring personal equipment if you prefer.

Absolutely. From spa treatments and lagoon kayaking to private dining and poolside relaxation, non‑divers are spoiled for choice while you’re out exploring.

We strongly recommend dive‑appropriate travel insurance. If you’ve had recent medical issues or are starting training, a doctor’s clearance may be required.

The PADI Open Water course usually takes 3–4 days, depending on conditions and your comfort level. Training is flexible and tailored to your stay, with theory, confined‑water skills, and open‑water dives completed around the resort. Guests are encouraged to complete PADI eLearning before arrival to maximise dive time on the island and minimise class time.

PADI Discover Scuba Diving is an introductory experience for beginners who are not yet certified. It is not a certification course. The program includes a short briefing, practice in shallow water, and a guided dive on the reef with an instructor. It’s a safe and enjoyable way to try scuba while staying at Royal Davui.

Please let us know at the time of booking so we can pre‑arrange your PADI Open Water or Advanced courses during your stay. We also recommend completing PADI eLearning before you travel to save time and maximise your dives on the island.
