On the fringes of Beqa Lagoon, Shark Reef Marine Reserve was created to study the resident shark population and in turn aid in the long-term conservation of sharks worldwide. PADI ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER
Move up and experience real adventure with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course. As you step beyond the PADI Open Water Diver level, you make five dives and have the opportunity to try some of diving’s most rewarding and useful specialty activities, such as deep diving, drift diving, wreck diving and much more.
This fast growing sport is a fun, easy way to go play on the water. Paddle boarding offers an amazing full body workout and since you are standing at full height, you’ll enjoy excellent views. It’s almost like walking on water!

Guided or Unguided Hobie Cat Sail. If you are experienced, feel free to take one out on your own. If you would like a guide please visit the marine centre to schedule sailing time. Guided Hobie cat is a 45-minute cruise.
Snorkelling and snorkel equipment is available to our guests at no charge. Throughout your stay complimentary guided snorkel trips will be available dependent on tides, or just jump in and enjoy! You may also wish to travel by boat and enjoy one of our outer reef snorkel trips.

VOLLEYBALL & TOUCH RUGBY
Join the staff for a friendly afternoon game of volleyball or touch rugby on the lawn next to the pool. This is a great way to meet some of the staff that work behind the scenes.
COCONUT CLASSES (Saturday 3:00pm)
Learn about the most important plant in the South Pacific. Without the humble coconut the South Pacific would perhaps have been impossible to inhabit and travel between back in the days of the seafaring people that settled this amazing country.
Ask about the range of beach games available including Bocce, beach paddle ball, ring toss and much more.
LOW TIDE REEF EXPLORATION
At low tide it is possible to walk around the entire island. Stroll around the island and discover shallow tide pools teeming with life. We recommend waterproof shoes for this (available in the boutique if you do not have suitable shoes).
Travel 15 minutes by boat to a Sand Quay in the lagoon(our most popular activity). The sand quay is tidal dependant and can only be booked for one couple per day. Picnic meal order forms can be found in your compendium or obtained from Restaurant or Reception.

Beqa Lagoon has become famous across the globe for offering divers a wide variety of dive sites and marine life within the one Lagoon. Choose from shore or boat dives. Night dives only available via shore.
